Putin orders Russian government to create crypto regulation by July 2019
Russian President Vladimir Putin recently issued a deadline for the government to adopt regulations concerning digital assets. This isn’t the first time the Russian government has tried to define regulations for crypto, but this time it may stick.
The document calls for a deadline of enforcement on digital asset regulations by July 1st, 2019. Putin has ordered the Council of the Federation of Russia and the Russian State Duma to form and adopt the regulations during their spring session. The Duma has announced it will be reviewing such regulations in March.
